Two Opportunities to Grow in Your Faith

Two or More is a small group open to all women interested in a monthly Bible study and fellowship that meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at Blue Baker’s on University Drive. We are currently discussing the Book of Joshua.

All Ladies Are Invited!

For more information, contact Rhonda Raphael.

Join us at various member's homes to help care for those at Peace by sending notes of encouragements, prayers, helping to do simple tasks, or running errands for those in need.

For more information, please contact Rhonda Raphael.

Join a small group of women to get connected, share and pray together to form a caring community.

Our latest study will be a 6-lesson study series called Thrive Women's Bible Study: Living Faithfully in Difficult Times - A study in the Book of James. We will probably spread it out into more than 6 months of sessions because we won't have participants do the individual work at home.

For more information, please contact one of our facilitators: Melissa Hinga or Ruthie Gray

Join us on Sundays at 11:00 am in the Peace Library, January 2nd through March 2nd, to discuss the book, Seven Events that Shaped the New Testament World by Warren Carter.

Book Overview:

This useful, concise introduction to the worlds around the New Testament focuses on seven key moments in the centuries before and after Jesus. It enlightens readers about the beginnings of the Christian movement, showing how religious, political, and economic factors were interwoven in the fabric of the New Testament world. Leading New Testament scholar Warren Carter has a record of providing student-friendly texts. This introduction offers a "big picture" focus and is logically and memorably organized around seven events, which Carter uses as launching pads to discuss larger cultural dynamics and sociohistorical realities that were in some way significant for followers of Jesus and the New Testament. Photos and maps are included.

For more information, please contact Steve Gossett.

Please join us for our annual Spaghetti Supper and Dessert Auction on Sunday, January 26th at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Recipients of the proceeds from the dessert auction will be: Hospice Brazos Valley, Treehouse Ministries and the Blessing Box and Friday Food Drive at Peace.

Giving of Time/Talent

Since Peace was chartered in 1978, it has depended on a wealth of talent within the congregation which members have used to selflessly give to the operations and mission of the congregation.  It is now time for our members to prayerfully consider how they can share their individual talents and skills to help Peace achieve its mission to "Celebrate, Learn, and Serve" in 2025.

Hard copies of the Time & Talent survey are available in the Narthex or the church office. But you can also complete it online by clicking on the image above or going to https://forms.gle/Ap9EJbiXhFYLhbnV9.  Or, you can download a pdf, print it out yourself (2 pages), and return it to the church.  You could even mail it if you would like:  Peace Lutheran Church, 2201 Rio Grande, College Station, TX 77845
